Big Little Moments
One of the reasons I love video is for it's ability to capture, and attribute significance to, both the big and the little moments in our life. It is often easier to remember to get the camera out for the big moments; we'd always joke with my parents that family video would flit between Christmas, birthdays and the odd school play, with not much evidence of general day to day life. (Saying that, we also recognise just how lucky we are to have any footage of us as children!) We are fortunate these days that many of us have the technology that makes is so easy for us to record and capture the things we want to remember. I will forever be grateful for video capture and particularly love the way it can transport you back to a time and place, as if you are back in that moment once again, but this time, soaking up all the details.
